Fingal County Council has lodged a joint planning application for a €10m redevelopment of Howth Castle. The massive revamp would involve conservation and restoration works on the castle, and its grounds. If it gets the green light, up to 150 new jobs would be created on completion, with 100 jobs during the construction phase. Tetrarch Capital and the Michael J Wright Group are partnering on the project, and plan to create a visitor and tourist destination.
