QQI Level 5 & 6 Courses

The Rathmines College website www.rathminescollege.ie is the starting point to enroll for all QQI Level 5 and 6 courses in Business, Computer Programming, Administration, Media, Professional Accounting and Liberal Arts. The college are also delighted to offer new 2020-21 courses that link effectively to education and employment progression in:

  • Aviation Finance
  • Environmental Studies with Business
  • Social Media and Public Relations 
  • Payroll and Accounting
  • Pre-University Arts and Social Science
  • Pre-University News and Media

Courses that are particularly popular for the academic year ahead are Pre-University Law, Digital News and Media alongside the choice of Business and IT courses. The academic future of Rathmines College students who complete the QQI Level 5 is bright as many will progress from QQI Level 5 to CAO place offers or the well-established QQI Level 6 Advanced Courses in the college in the areas of:

  • Business
  • Business Administration
  • Software Development 
  • News and Media 

Rathmines College offers excellent CAO progression options to colleges like TCD, UCD, DCU, DIT, TU Dublin and Maynooth with many any students who graduated in June ’20 now starting exciting higher education courses in these universities. Our Careers Guidance Team is on hand to help students in finding the right course to match their interests and the availability of SUSI grants is another reason to enrol and study with Rathmines College. 

The CDETB college also offer a selection of well-established QQI Advanced Level 6 courses in Business, Office Administration, News and Media and Software Development. Again, these are one-year full-time courses and are an excellent way to progress to 2nd year in may third level colleges, for example TU Dublin, IADT and NCI.

Martin Keating, now a business teacher in Rathmines College, is a great example of the success of a further education course. Martin completed a QQI Level 5 & 6 in Business, progressed to a Marketing degree in IT Tallaght and then a teaching degree. Keating says ‘’I loved my learning experience in Rathmines College, further education is a great stepping stone into higher education and in doing my degree and masters course I felt confident from the skills and learning I had gained through studying at Rathmines College.
