The Cup win shows the success of Baldoyle United’s girl’s development programme which has seen the girls’ game grow and grow in recent years.

Club Chair Dermot Penrose said:

“Less than eight years ago we had no girls section at the club. Since then we have focused on developing opportunities for girls in the area to take part, and now have teams at all age groups with our first senior women’s team now in action.”

Dermot Penrose also paid tribute to under 18 girls manager and head girls coach, Justin Reilly, who has been instrumental in the success of the girls side of the club.

“Justin has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into the club and we now have a really strong and capable team of coaches and players who will continue to improve. We look forward to further successes like the recent Cup win”.
